Angel Tree Project

Lowcountry Senior Network members signed up as “angels” at the
November 1 meeting and will purchase gifts for a designated senior
who would otherwise not be remembered during the holiday season.
Gifts will be collected at the Annual Meeting in December and
distributed during the month. Pictured are left to right:

Alzheimer’s Memory Walk

The Lowcountry Senior
Network was a sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk held on October
14, 2006 at James Island County Park. The Memory Walk is the major
fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. LSN members assisted
with registration and at the sponsorship table. Pictured left to

Project Cool Breeze

Thanks to
the support of LSN members the first Community Outreach project was
a cool success. As participants we reached into our community to
provide at-risk seniors with air conditioners. Knowing the
sweltering heat and humidity of lowcountry summers, these seniors
greatly appreciated such generous donations. Having volunteered at
Brittlebank Park for the distribution of units, I can attest first
hand at the gratefulness and thankfulness bubbling from each senior
recipient.
Our organization donated a total of 51 air conditioning units. A
special THANK YOU goes to the businesses who were so very generous:
