Thanks to the generous support of our members for their help
in providing adult diapers and nutritional supplements to
two organizations in need during our March membership
meeting. Both organizations were appreciative of the support
of Lowcountry Senior Network. |
Visiting Chefs with the
VA Medical Center
Wednesday, June 17 members of Lowcountry Senior Network
provided a home cooked meal to the residents of the Patriots
Harbor nursing home unit at the VA Medical Center. The LSN
members who participated enjoyed the opportunity to serve
the veterans dinner, visit with them, and say thank you for
their service to our country. |

Project Cool Breeze

Thanks to
the support of LSN members the first Community Outreach project was
a cool success. As participants we reached into our community to
provide at-risk seniors with air conditioners. Knowing the
sweltering heat and humidity of lowcountry summers, these seniors
greatly appreciated such generous donations. Having volunteered at
Brittlebank Park for the distribution of units, I can attest first
hand at the gratefulness and thankfulness bubbling from each senior
recipient.
Our organization donated a total of 51 air conditioning units. A
special THANK YOU goes to the businesses who were so very generous:
